I noticed my plays through the site have completely haulted since MusicCoin became the default player. I get that you want to push people over to MusicCoin, but I don`t think it makes sense to have it as the default when it only has 303 tracks, compared to almost 2,000 on SoundCloud.
Please consider changing the default back, because SoundCloud is still where the majority of your users are.

i can wait for bigger debate but for now - ii do not wish to listen to musiccoin- however it appears more than default - it appears my only choice as even when i select soundcloud everything continues as musiccoin - do i have a choice or does default in this case eliminate all options -

The plays had actually dropped off before I changed the default so I don`t think it would make much difference.
Musicoin is new and offers an amazing opportunity for independent musicians and as more people sign up then the number of tracks will increase. I think it`s important that we support them in the short term as they are a small group of devs doing something groundbreaking.
The main issue at the moment is that it`s really hard to keep tracks in credit as there are a lot of people listening so there are actually about 750 tracks or more in the database.
Let`s see how things go for a while and we can have a bigger debate about it in the near future.

This sounds very reasonable.

|Need a little help and can`t find a "Contact Us" anywhere. I`ve copied a couple of my songs from Musicoin to here but it`s showing up as a "Runtime Error" and when I try to delete it, it won`t let me, it seems there`s an error on a error! Does anyone know how I can fix this please? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

|I really loved your site when it first started. Unfortunately, it`s essentially unusable now. Atom Collector Records struck me as a grassroots movement when I first signed up-which I think is great. So, I`m not sure why you would switch to an even smaller grassroots movement before really establishing yourself. It`s a shame, because I rarely visit the site anymore (since I can`t even listen to anything), and indie artists are not being heard or supported as a result.
21 February 2018 17:04
I`m sorry to hear that but I`m not really sure what you mean by "unusable"?
I haven`t switched anything. I have just added more options and therefore given people more choice.
One thing that has been evident as I have met more and more independent musicians is that they feel as though they are not treated fairly by the big streaming services so when new offerings appear that attempt to address this I feel it only right that I add them.
I do not force anyone to listen to any particular source. Everyone is free to choose.
If you have any suggestions I am always willing to listen and then we can all discuss it as a community and I will make the changes that the majority would like to see.

|Hi. Anyone can suggest me how to rise the volume of the master? And after the master is done?
21 February 2018 02:32
or Audacity....but don`t let it clip!!!! lol :)

I`ve used Bandlab in the past. You can do simple mastering there and choose various volume levels/mixes. Best of all, it is free (at least it was when I last used it!)

In logic you can use advanced limiter for that, it allows you to increase the volume while remaining the same mix. I`d suggest that you use not to many dB, then it`s better to make sure your overal volume is towards the level you like and then you can increase the gain with the limiter with a few dB.

Thank You. Normally I worked with a Pro Studio. Now I wanna go one by myself so for this song (You`re in My Heart Again) I used simply GB, but it`s hard to have high volumes. I also have Pro-tools-first but it`s quite difficult to operate. I would buy LogicPro but I don`t know if it`s worth to. You? What`s your DAW?
20 February 2018 11:35
Cool. What did you use? Ah, musicoin; joining is on my very full todo list
19 February 2018 07:10
Thank You. At the moment I solved the problem with a very very little distortion. The new tune is ready:
If you have time to listen it please tell me if it`s radio-broadcastable

Lewis Sound Editor is only available from the Microsoft STORE. I think it`s in the "Utilities" section. Or look under "apps" and type "Sound editor" in search box. A couple of free ones should pop-up. Cannot advise you on those, haven`t used them. Good luck. Anything you get may require trial and error.

Thank You. I did not think about Audacity, maybe it`s enough. I`ll check that `Sweetwater`, too.
18 February 2018 19:01
What recording software and which platform are you already using? It also depends on the mix you already have. If just a simple volume boost is needed, use your own DAW or free Audacity. Also various types of plug-ins could help, like a compressor or amp. I`m not sure about Windows, but Macs have built in plugins and there are lots of free ones out there. If you want to buy something better search "Mastering Software" on a site like Sweetwater

Excuse me @Trendlaser. If I digit `Dark Co.` or `Lewis Editor` everything opens but music stuff. Can you tell me the specific sites, please?
16 February 2018 17:13
Thank You :)

Hi Mauro, Dark Co. is right. If you have a good sounding master and want to make it hotter/louder, I recommend the Lewis Editor available from Microsoft Store. You can load your track, then click on "effects" and pick EQ/Amp from menu. Note EQ/Amp has a box top left to (check/uncheck) and a sliding scale for "Amp" - to + and check the difference as it plays. Best $6.99 I`ve spent. (Not affiliated with co.)

Mastering! Makes all the difference. In days gone by pressing plants used to make glass masters from which they would press the discs. Mastering makes things louder, can lose some dynamics if you`re not careful, and you can change the tone by adding or cutting bass or treble. Most producers use digital methods these days, and on the Wud Records main studio computer is some awesome mastering software called T-Racks. Check it out! Plenty of info to read online. Good mastering can make (or bad = ruin) a decent final mix. Worth taking the time to become good at it! It`s a bit of a road to travel. Best of luck!

Logic is very powerfull and easy to use^^

|Why is Musicoin now the default for "listen from?" Which brings up the question of why there`s a need for any default at all?
18 February 2018 12:09
#Musicoin - I think Musicoin should do a campaigne just to sell the coin, not only to musicians. That`s because it`s worth almost nothing. Imagine if it goes to 0.4$
it`s 20 x 0.02 (now). They could convince many people to invest in, but I`ve never seen they talking about this.
16 February 2018 14:39
|Musicoin is okay, seems promising, worth doing. Too bad everyone seems to have ignored Soundcloud and Spotify. Musicoin is another way to reach potential fans, but, (correct me if I`m wrong) from what I`ve read, that "money" our songs earn is like "virtual" money worth a little less than Monopoly money, so...
17 February 2018 08:02
Yeah I`ll correct you Trendlaser - you`re wrong :P
Seriously though you can cash it out any time you want.
There are some fees to pay but it`s still a lot more than you get anywhere else even after the fees.

Musicion is definetly worth doing i have never been a fan of soundcloud only because non musicains seem to struggle with listening to it i am definetly not negecting spotify but the fact musicion pays around 10 times the amount of spotify its getting popular
14 February 2018 01:55
|Dang, won`t do that again. Subscribed to somebody`s YouTube while their song was playing and got whisked away to friggin YouTube.
17 February 2018 03:26

that has happened to me too
14 February 2018 11:52
Yeah I don`t know why they don`t allow an open in new tab option on that. You can`t even right click and open in a new tab. Bit annoying but you soon realise how it works!
16 February 2018 14:13
|Mastering is a difficult art, OK. But I only need to pump up the volume. Is there any method to do this? For example, I already have a perfect master but the volume is quite a bit low. Is it possible to raise it up? (Sorry, I am more musician than engineer, I`ve always be not so good in mixing-mastering). Thanks in advance for a suggestion.
