| I just made a change (thanks for the suggestion Jon Magnusson) so when you tweet that you are listening to a track between 8pm & 9pm GMT on a Mondays or 9pm & 10pm GMT on Tuesdays the tweet will include "#MusicHourUK".
Please try and tweet as much possible during this time as there will be a lot of retweets.

One suggestion (which I`ve send a message for) is a volume control when listening SoundCloud tracks. Or is there something I didn`t see?

| Unfortunately the site currently uses to SoundCloud embedded player so we have no control over the volume.
In future we may try and use a different method to play the songs, which should allow us to do this, but for now I`m afraid we can`t. Sorry! | |

| Generally I have to say that the quality of music on here is outstanding.
Having said that there are a few shockers starting to creep into the rotation.
I initially had the idea to allow tracks to be excluded from rotation on an individual account basis. Do you think this is a good idea or do you have any other suggestions such as lowering the priority of tracks that have been skipped x number of times by x number of people?

| You wouldn`t actually now that you`ve had one subtracted as it would still show up as a play in SoundCloud even if you skip before 30 seconds I think.
It actually means that lower quality tracks get more plays for their credits! |

| Yeah if you`re setting the threshold relatively high for the penalty, then it`s probably not a bad idea. Double-edged sword of that is that people might feel like they`re being cheated if they`ve "earned" a credit by listening and then have one subtracted - but of course if they left the site and they make music that is painful to listen to it might be a desired outcome. |

| This is always going to be a can of worms as it`s so subjective.
My fear is that if some tracks are so bad (and by that I normally mean completely out of tune and painful to listen to!) that they get skipped by everyone then the track credits will never go down and the bad ones will stay in rotation and therefore the ratio will increase. |

| I also agree with Nickillus. I think there`s a big difference between skipping the track because of low quality and skipping it because it just isnt your cup of tea (i.e., track is high quality but just not feeling it). While I`m confident my tracks are high quality, I also recognize that what I do isn`t for everybody and a blanket approach to skips could harm the chances of it being discovered. Although as time passes and this thing that you`re doing continues to grow, there may be no other way around it than to lower priority by amount skipped or possibly a upvote/downvote system.
I do think that it would beneficial if you allowed tracks and/or artists to be excluded based on an individual account`s preference. I`ve heard a few tracks that were low quality, sometimes by the same artist, that I would like to exclude from my listening experience. |

| While that`s a very logical suggestion, I`m not sure about rigging it based on skipping, John. I will skip a track for various reasons, usually nothing to do with the quality. It`s more to do with whether I`ve already heard that track a lot before, am just not on the mood for that sound and/or am simply keen to find the great new tracks that keep filtering in. Not sure I have a better solution though. I`m just praying I`m not in the shockers category . . . . . | |
