I just made a change (thanks for the suggestion Jon Magnusson) so when you tweet that you are listening to a track between 8pm & 9pm GMT on a Mondays or 9pm & 10pm GMT on Tuesdays the tweet will include "#MusicHourUK".
Please try and tweet as much possible during this time as there will be a lot of retweets.

Come visit our channels, many hours of great music you probably never heard before. Share the love. Sam :)

Thanks guys, really appreciate that! I feel that together with the #musichouruk people and some others around the web we can make a `progressive alliance`, to coin a phrase, and help underground, alternative and indie artsts and labels to be heard by more new fans who will love them and help sustain them in what they are doing. Long live the revolution! ,,/(>.<),,/

Wud is only borrowing them, John.

Hey you all! I`m seeing this section for the first time now! Nice to be able to contact with eachother. This site is becoming better and better!
One suggestion (which I`ve send a message for) is a volume control when listening SoundCloud tracks. Or is there something I didn`t see?
07 June 2017 22:06
Thanks Juxta, good to know!
06 June 2017 17:05
P.S. There is a separate board for site enhancement requests here: https://atomcollectorrecords.com/beta/messageboards.asp?messageboardid=5
06 June 2017 17:04
Unfortunately the site currently uses to SoundCloud embedded player so we have no control over the volume.
In future we may try and use a different method to play the songs, which should allow us to do this, but for now I`m afraid we can`t. Sorry!

Relatively new to this site, and enjoying the many links to videos and music, exposing all the hidden talent everywhere. Have attached a link and hapy to share others music and videos too. Look forward to hearing more soon, all the best.

Done, Newen. Good luck.
25 May 2017 18:55
|But that is a good idea! Sponsored track requests board coming up (but not today)
06 June 2017 13:35
I`ll probably put an upper limit on the number of credits and I may introduce a random feature so there can be more than one at any time.
05 June 2017 23:53
How does it work? I mean, if many submit, when will a track change to the next one if credits never end? xD
03 June 2017 08:47
Sponsored Track Requests board has been added.
03 June 2017 11:44
Generally I have to say that the quality of music on here is outstanding.
Having said that there are a few shockers starting to creep into the rotation.
I initially had the idea to allow tracks to be excluded from rotation on an individual account basis. Do you think this is a good idea or do you have any other suggestions such as lowering the priority of tracks that have been skipped x number of times by x number of people?
05 June 2017 23:32
I have found some of those tracks to be honest, not many, but some, but how much can benefit them to get so much plays if the music is bad?
04 June 2017 08:20
Nemo Can Fly
First, difficult to find the limit of art !
I think the best way, should be to enable people de make their own playlist ? Then you can discover and listen what you want and you can put in your playlist what you like... ? For shockers track we have the comment topic ?
03 June 2017 18:37
Is that Alan or Alex Gorithm? Or indeed Alexis?
03 June 2017 17:35
Now I just need to find a drummer called Algo....
03 June 2017 16:18
Yes - somewhere in all that there is a solution that will work. And if I was any good at mathematics, I could come up with an algorithm . . . . . .. Correction - if I knew what an algorithm was . . . . .
03 June 2017 16:00
You wouldn`t actually now that you`ve had one subtracted as it would still show up as a play in SoundCloud even if you skip before 30 seconds I think.
It actually means that lower quality tracks get more plays for their credits!
03 June 2017 15:52
Yeah if you`re setting the threshold relatively high for the penalty, then it`s probably not a bad idea. Double-edged sword of that is that people might feel like they`re being cheated if they`ve "earned" a credit by listening and then have one subtracted - but of course if they left the site and they make music that is painful to listen to it might be a desired outcome.
03 June 2017 15:30
Maybe something like 20 skips in a row means 1 credit subtracted?
03 June 2017 15:27
This is always going to be a can of worms as it`s so subjective.
My fear is that if some tracks are so bad (and by that I normally mean completely out of tune and painful to listen to!) that they get skipped by everyone then the track credits will never go down and the bad ones will stay in rotation and therefore the ratio will increase.
03 June 2017 14:06
I also agree with Nickillus. I think there`s a big difference between skipping the track because of low quality and skipping it because it just isnt your cup of tea (i.e., track is high quality but just not feeling it). While I`m confident my tracks are high quality, I also recognize that what I do isn`t for everybody and a blanket approach to skips could harm the chances of it being discovered. Although as time passes and this thing that you`re doing continues to grow, there may be no other way around it than to lower priority by amount skipped or possibly a upvote/downvote system.
I do think that it would beneficial if you allowed tracks and/or artists to be excluded based on an individual account`s preference. I`ve heard a few tracks that were low quality, sometimes by the same artist, that I would like to exclude from my listening experience.
03 June 2017 13:41
Yeah I must agree to Nickillus, about the reasons why skipping.
What do you mean with "shockers"?
03 June 2017 12:06
While that`s a very logical suggestion, I`m not sure about rigging it based on skipping, John. I will skip a track for various reasons, usually nothing to do with the quality. It`s more to do with whether I`ve already heard that track a lot before, am just not on the mood for that sound and/or am simply keen to find the great new tracks that keep filtering in. Not sure I have a better solution though. I`m just praying I`m not in the shockers category . . . . .
