|I think credits for youtube music app could be worth looking into. From my own experience so far, they`re paying out around an average of 1 cent per stream.

You can earn $INDIE watching YouTube videos on a certain day of the week. Just check the dashboard each day to see which channel rewards you on that day.
You should check out Bit.Tube though. And you even get paid for watching other people`s videos!
You can find Atom Collector on BitTube here: https://bit.tube/atomcollector

|I think it makes sense when displaying the banner "XXX listeners and YYY songs played today" to split the number of songs to show what has been the most listened to source: "YYY1 Musicoin / YYY2 other sources songs played today"

|It would be pretty cool to have a checkbox to apply coins randomly to a track. It can be quite a chore to add them one after another. :)
25 May 2018 20:23
Thanks man, looking forward!
25 May 2018 16:16
I had thought about something like this before. Maybe an option on each track to say whether you want an "auto-allocate" or not. Will look into this again in the future.

|Hi John. I was wondering if you could allocate a day for Reverbnation and Fanburst for earning $Indie? They seem to have been left out of the mix so far...I think they`re good for exposure for both the artist and the whole AtomCollectorRecords collective. Perhaps ReverbN. with YouTube and Fanburst with Spotify Playlists or something? Cheers, Steve

There aren`t really enough tracks in play to do this but I would be interested to see what other`s think?

I was wondering.
Would it be posible to pay the pro membership via paypal or crypto currencies, like musicoin for instance?
That would be very awesome becase i don`t own a CC (don`t ask)

The X Reposts
I just saw this while listening to a song, and just came to say, it is already via paypal tho!

I am looking into paying with crypto in the future. Thank you for your offer. I will let you know if I need any help.

Ps, I`m a web dev, i would love to help the website in exchange for just love :)

|I would love emojis in the track comments. Sometimes I can`t find the words to show how I feel about music.

You must have read my mind! I was thinking exactly the same thing yesterday! :-)
Just trying to work out the best way to do it and how much of a priority it is.

Is it possible to add a checkbox to Spotify playlist rotation submission form that disables the "Submit a track to this playlist" form when the playlist is being played? I recently ran into one where submission was only possible via Facebook, or sometimes a user shares someone else`s playlist and is unable to add tracks. Or, if a playlist is collaborative then users can add tracks themselves. In all these cases the "submit a track" form could be disabled.

That had crossed my mind too. Lowish priority compared to some other things I am working on but it will be done at some point.

Genres. How about adding some more or changing the ones that there are sometime? Some of our tracks are very hard to put into one of the genres available.
- moving blues to be with jazz,
- adding a section for acoustic/singer songwriter,
- adding a section for ambient/soundscape,
- separate indie from rock and add alternative/alt rock to go with it as a new section,
- thus reducing rock/metal/punk to one section,
- and finding a place for progressive rock to be included?
Maybe further adjustments as the site grows. What do we all think about this?
04 January 2018 21:46
As for genres - it`s a good idea, though to my mind it`s better keep it simple as possible. So there is no need to many style right now.
In my humble opinion, the most urgent is to divide
1) Electro rock and blues from acoustic folk, country and indie.
2) Dance electronic stuff from other electronic
31 December 2017 11:29
How about something like this:
- progressive rock/metal
- country & western
- acoustic rock
- acoustic/singer songwriter
- EDM1 - techno, dubstep, trap, more extreme/high tempo edm styles
- EDM2 - house, trance, triphop, less `extreme` electronica
- EDM3 - remixes, DJ music
- unique/other/none of the above
And then maybe when we reach about 10 000 tracks going more into the subdivisions?
Quite liking the mood suggestions - what about listeners suggesting a colour for each track they hear, from 000000 to ffffff? Then making some kind of mosaic of the individual colous and having the background of the track an `average` of the colours, rather like SoundCloud does it with album covers? That may give an indication of mood.

Genre add: Noise music

I`d like to choose two categories for a track, as my acoustic stuff would be out of place in folk or singsong stuff.
- Think Iíd put Country Western into folk. Country itself these days is usually rock
- Depending on the sound I divy prog rock between my hard rock and mellower rock playlists.
- I like that hard (rock/metal/punk) and not-as-hard (gotta be a descriptive word for that genre) rock (indie/alt) division.
- Iím fine with no-one mentioning pop as a genre (tho alternative rock can come close).
- My ambient soundscape goes into orchestral.
- World for me includes funk and reggae. (and probably palo rockero, tho Iíve kept that in rock for now).
- Jazz and blues do share a lot in the middle, but again, if there were a second genre pick I could lean more to the rock or orchestral side to fit my mood. Cause usually I want to listen to one or the other.
- City Beats is where I put HipHop and Kick driven electronic. Synth electronic goes to Orchestral

Nice discusion of this in the lobby during July & August (currently pg 12)
30 December 2017 14:03
More genres is next on the list. Get your suggestions in as to what genres you want.
18 June 2017 13:15
Folk with acoustic/singersongwriter.
Experimental with ambient/soundscape.
Country and Western - there`s some in the rock section now - is this World Music? Other? Hmmm.
17 June 2017 21:11
Could we have a `Ghastly Rubbish` section please? :)
15 June 2017 11:28
Like it, Wud. Pigeon holes are always a bad fit for many.
15 June 2017 11:17
Yes, genres definetly need some changes!
15 June 2017 11:14
I am waiting until we get to about 2000 tracks in rotation and then I will look at doing this.
31 December 2017 04:05
|is it possible to get the genre of the song I`m listening to displayed on the page? When listening, I tend to stick with "all genres" as the category, and so when the Chart positions say Genre 341 or whatever, I don`t know what genre that rank is in. hit me up if this doesn`t make sense! thanks John
04 January 2018 21:33
Good suggestion, I thought of it too.
29 December 2017 00:11
Please can you make it easier to find people from their artists` names so we can message them?
Eg, I wanted to use message board to contact another artist within the site, to respond to a post about a playlist... clicking on their name gave no means I could see of contacting them, so I tracked them down via Facebook in the end!).
29 December 2017 00:38
A revamp of the members page with search and messaging is on the list for the new year :-)
